For years, the scenes in The Ocoda Chronicles existed in two places: in my imagination and in the imagination of the people reading the books.

I knew what I saw when I wrote them. I could picture the ships, the corridors, the alien worlds, and the characters moving through them. But I've always wondered what my readers saw.

That's one of the things I love about books. I can describe a scene, but once you read it, part of it belongs to you. You supply the faces, the sounds, the movement, and all the little details that exist between the words.

Now I get to try something I couldn't have done when I first started writing these books.

I'm taking some of my favorite scenes from The Ocoda Chronicles and bringing them to life in short videos.

They're not meant to replace what you imagined when you read the books. Actually, I'm more interested in finding out whether you recognize them.

So I'm starting something new:

Guess the Scene

I'll post a short video from time to time based on a scene from one of the books. I'm not going to tell you exactly where it's from or what's happening.

That's your job.

If you've read the books, see if you can identify the scene.

And if you haven't read them yet, maybe you'll look at one of these and wonder:
